Eligible Players

We will feature three teams and two age groups (12U and 11U) for the 2012 season.

The age groups have different eligibility requirements, as described below:

12U
These two teams will organize as "12:under/6th grade" teams, as per the official AAU definition. This means that these teams will be mostly 6th grade boys, with some (the youngest) 7th grade boys as well.

SPECIFICALLY, if you are in the 6th grade for the 2011-2012 school year, you are eligible.
FURTHER, if you are in the 7th grade for the 2011-2012 school year, but you were born on or after September 1, 1999, you are eligible.


11U
This team will organize as "11:under/5th grade" teams, as per the official AAU definition. This means that these teams will be mostly 5th grade boys, with some (the youngest) 6th grade boys as well.

SPECIFICALLY, if you are in the 5th grade for the 2011-2012 school year, you are eligible.
FURTHER, if you are in the 6th grade for the 2011-2012 school year, but you were born on or after September 1, 2000, you are eligible.

The Slam represents AAU basketball in the Cecil County / Harford County area. Rising Sun, Elkton, North East, Perryville, Havre de Grace, Aberdeen, Bel Air, Belcamp, Edgewood, East-to-West ... WE WANT YOU FOR THE SLAM. Bel Air, Maryland, even Oxford, Pennsylvania, we want you too, if you don't mind a drive. If basketball is your favorite sport, you now have a team. Let's go Slam.
