RBCN is the only cooperative preschool in Howard County which is currently accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC administers the largest and most recognized voluntary, professional accreditation system for early care and education programs in the country. It provides educators with excellent resources and up to date research in the field, and has established reliable standards for program excellence.

Accredited programs undergo a rigorous self-study process, followed by a professional on-site evaluation and the deliberation of a reviewing board. Our program has been verified as being in substantial compliance with NAEYC's standards for more than 9 years. Our lead teacher has been a member of the organization throughout her career and follows closely the advances of her profession. New knowledge is freely shared and implemented to keep our program current with the times.
